After earning a standing ovation for their hit song, “You Are the Ones,” the Kuhlmann Sisters were presented with the Air Force Sergeants Association International Americanism Award by AFSA International President Michael Parente. The award recognizes their unselfish commitment to those serving in the United States military forces.  This award has also been received by Bob Dole, Billy Ray Cyress, George Bush Sr., and Debbie Reynolds.

The Kuhlmann Sisters, Kathy, Julie, and Kristin, were presented the Outstanding Support Award by the Iowa National Guard Officers Association during the association's annual dinner.  Major General Ron Dardis, the adjutant general of the Iowa National Guard, and Lieutenant Colonel Allen Meyer, the association's president, made the presentation.  As the Kuhlmann Sisters were presented the award, they received a thunderous ovation from the 450 Iowa National Guard Officers and special guests in attendance.

Company D 109th AVN 160th SOAR(A) presented the Kuhlmann Sisters with this limited edition print by one of their members -- Sarah Taylor. The Sisters honored the troops by performing at their welcome home ceremonies on December 23, 2003. Many dignitaries were in attendance as this group of soldiers has been deployed twice in recent years. The print reads: "In support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom -- In appreciation to The Kuhlmann Sisters for your support during our homecoming 23 Dec '03."
